   According to the statistical data of "Analysis of the Economic Operation of China's Hydraulic and Pneumatic Sealing Industry", the statistics of 290 major companies in hydraulics, pneumatics, and sealing showed that the comprehensive economic benefit index of the industry reached 170.81, of which the sealing industry was 214.97, which was much higher than the average level of the national machinery industry. In the fourth quarter of 2007, the domestic sealing industry achieved sales revenue of 3.604 billion yuan, an increase of 25.27% over the same period last year.

        2. General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine randomly inspected the product quality of mechanical seals, and the pass rate was 99.5%

        In order to protect the personal safety of users and promote the healthy development of the mechanical seal industry, the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine organized a national supervision and spot check on the quality of mechanical seal products. A total of 29 products (not related to export products) produced by 29 enterprises in 7 provinces and municipalities including Tianjin, Liaoning, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Shaanxi, etc. were randomly checked, and the sampling pass rate of the physical quality of the products was 99.5%.

        This spot check is based on the recommended national standards JB/T4127.1-1999 "Technical Conditions for Mechanical Seals", JB/T6619.1-1999 "Technical Conditions for Light Mechanical Seals", JB/T6373-1992 "Mechanical Sealing Technology for Welded Metal Bellows" Conditions", GB/T14211-1993 "Mechanical Seal Test Method", JB/T6619-1993 "Light Mechanical Seal Test Method", JB/T7369-1994 "Mechanical Seal End Face Flatness Inspection Method" and other standards stipulate the requirements. Seven items including the flatness of the hard sealing ring of the seal product, the leakage of graphite rings and PTFE bellows, the tolerances of main parts, the air tightness, the leakage of static pressure test, the leakage of operation test, and the amount of wear of operation test were carried out. test.

        The results of the spot check show that, first, the national supervision and spot check has promoted the improvement of corporate quality awareness and strengthened quality management. The flatness of the hard seal ring, the leakage of graphite ring and PTFE bellows, the tolerance of main parts, and the static pressure The compliance rate of test leakage and other items reached 100%. Second, large-scale manufacturers with a higher market share have better product quality, and all inspected items meet the requirements of national standards.

 The main quality problems found in the spot check:

1. The leakage of individual products in the operation test is unqualified. The JB/T4127.1-1999 "Technical Conditions for Mechanical Seals" standard stipulates that when the sealing medium is liquid, the average leakage of the mechanical seal operation test: when the outer diameter of the shaft (or sleeve) is not more than 50mm, the leakage is not more than 3mL /h; when the outer diameter of the shaft (or sleeve) is greater than 50mm, the leakage is not greater than 5mL/h. In the random inspection, the leakage of individual products was unqualified in the operation test. One of the products was leaking due to the broken rubber bellows during the operation test, which prevented the operation test from continuing. For another product with a shaft diameter of 35mm, the maximum average leakage in each measurement time unit is 31.5mL/h, which exceeds the requirements of the standard.

2. The wear of carbon graphite sealing ring of individual products is unqualified. In order to meet the requirements of the service life of the mechanical seal, the JB/T4127.1-1999 "Technical Conditions of Mechanical Seal" standard stipulates that the test shall be conducted with clean water as the medium, and the wear of the seal ring of the soft material shall not exceed 0.02mm after 100 hours of operation. In the spot check, the wear of the graphite seal ring of individual products exceeded the requirements of the standard.

3. The air tightness test of individual products failed. The standard of JB/T6619.1-1999 "Technical Conditions for Light Mechanical Seals" stipulates that before light mechanical seal products leave the factory, each set of products should be tested for airtightness under the highest working pressure, and there should be no visible bubbles for 1 minute. In the random inspection, some products failed the air tightness test.

        In response to the main quality problems found in the random inspections, the AQSIQ has instructed the local quality and technical supervision departments to strictly follow the product quality law and other relevant laws and regulations to deal with the enterprises whose product quality is unqualified in the random inspections and rectify within a specified time. At the same time, increase publicity efforts to guide consumption for companies with better quality in spot checks. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine will continue to carry out follow-up and spot checks on the quality of mechanical seal products to promote the improvement of the overall quality level of the mechanical seal industry.
